The group works on trustworthy AI, combining rigorous foundations with practical methods for building safer and more reliable AI systems. Funding is available for successful candidates.

Positions
PhD Students
Five PhD positions are available for Fall 2027. Applicants should have a strong academic background in computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Prior research experience in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, security, formal methods, or optimization is particularly relevant. Applicants must also satisfy the formal admission requirements of the CityUHK PhD Programme in Data Science.
Postdoctoral Researchers
Two postdoctoral positions are available for Fall 2027. Candidates should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research. A strong publication record, clear technical writing, and experience developing reliable research code are valued.
